Misconduct Complaints

Keeping Our Game Fair: Understanding Regulation 9

At its heart, bowls is a game of integrity and community. To make sure every player enjoys a fair and positive environment, Bowls England Regulation 9 (R9) provides a clear, consistent roadmap for handling misconduct across all levels—from local Clubs to County and National stages.

How it works

If an issue arises, we believe in dealing with it at the right level and as efficiently as possible.

Step 1: All complaints are submitted in writing via a Complaint Form.

Step 2: A Complaint Assessor reviews the details to keep things impartial and ensure the process is easy to organise.

Step 3: To ensure the response fits the situation, issues are categorised as Unfounded, Minor, Moderate, or Serious.

For a deeper dive into the process, check out the Bowls England Disciplinary Hub or download our handy summary flyer below.
